2. A minimum
of seven players constitute a valid team, 6 for Div 5.
3. Ball Size
*Divisions
1, 2 & 3 - #5.
*Divisions 4 & 5 - #4.
4. Duration
*Div 1 - two
45 minute halves.
*Div 2 - two 40 minute halves (Fall 35 mins - boys only).
*Div 3 - two 35 minute halves.
*Div 4 - two 30 minute halves.
*Div 5 - two 30 minute halves.
5. Unlimited
substitutions are permitted:
a) Prior to
a throw-in in your favor;
b) Prior to a goal kick by either team;
c) After a goal by either team;
d) At half-time.
6. Substitutions
are also permitted as follows:
a) After an
injury - the injured player and one player from the opposing team;
b) Yellow carded player(s) only - carded player(s) must be substituted
immediately; c) Upon the ejection of the goalkeeper, a goalkeeper
may be selected from among the available substitutes to replace
one of the remaining players on the field at the time.
7. When a player
is sent off the field by the referee, the ref shall allow no substitutions
(except as noted in 6B & 6C), note cause on game card, pull
player's pass and send both to games commissioner (girls) / grievance
chairperson (boys).
8. Forfeit time
will be fifteen (15) minutes after scheduled starting time of game.
The team need only to submit passes and be inspected. It is not
required to kick off, score goal, etc.
9. The coach
of each team will present the game fees, coaches passes, the player
passes and game card, which shall include the players' name, pass
numbers and uniform number to the referee and opposing coach prior
to the start of the game.
10. The opposing
coach has the right to inspect the players' passes prior to the
start of a game. When a player is late, the inspection may take
place prior to the players' entry into the game.
11. Players
or coaches without passes are ineligible to participate in the game.

a) If a carded
coach is not available at any time prior to the completion of
the game, the game will be abandoned and depending on the circumstances
may be declared a forfeit by the executive board.
12. The home
team is responsible for:
a) Correct
lining of the field;
b) Proper game ball;
c) Goal nets and corner flags;
d) Changing jerseys in the event of duplication of colors.
13. If only
one referee, home team provides one linesman; visiting team the
other. However, if two referees appear for game, the home team will
provide the other linesman.
No "Two
Man" / High School style officiating is allowed
14. Each team
is to call its coordinator after the game to report the score. Failure
to report timely scores will result in disciplinary measures / fines.
Girls League
send to: Game Commissioner as listed on Game Card
Boys League send to: Grievance chairperson as listed on game card
15. Referees
are directed to send completed game cards and passes of players
and/or coaches sent off the field, as well as challenged players
to the designated person within 24 hours of completion of the game.
The completed game card shall include a concise explanation of the
reason why players and/or coaches were sent off.
16. All scheduled
games in Divisions 3, 4 & 5 (Girls) must be played even if a
referee is not present. A substitute referee shall be mutually agreed
upon by both coaches. If an agreement cannot be reached, the official
will be decided by a coin toss. All games played are official. Games
in divisions 1 and 2 and (3, 4 & 5 Boys) may be played if no
referee shows if both coaches agree to play the game. If both do
not agree the game shall be rescheduled. If a ref does come, he/she
shall take the field at the first dead ball opportunity.

If a ref shows
for a game and declares the field unplayable prior to the start
of the game, he/she will receive a single game fee from home team.
17. Uniforms
a) All team
players must have the same colored numbered jerseys, shorts and
socks. Duplicate uniform numbers shall not be acceptable. Blue jean
shorts are not permitted. The goal keepers jersey must be distinctly
different in color from all field players on both teams. Numbers
must be at least Four (4) inches tall.
b) All players
must wear shin guards for all games and their socks must be pulled
up to cover the shin guards.
c) Jerseys will
be worn tucked into shorts at all times.
d) Players (girls)
may wear sweat pants of the same color as their shorts over their
shorts.
e) All long
johns worn must be of the same color throughout the team and must
be tucked into shorts.
f) A referee
has the authority to require a player to remove any article of clothing
he/she deems to be dangerous to that player or to any other player
on the field.
g) Individual
players may wear clothing under their uniform that may exceed the
hemline of shorts if they are hemmed and the same solid color as
the shorts.
18. In the case
of a forfeit caused by not enough players, the referee will be paid
the full match fee as listed for that division.
19. If after
the match is started, the referee terminates the match for weather
or other reasons, the referee will be paid the full match fee.
20. Should a
referee terminate a match prior to completion, the game is not official
until reviewed by the league.
21. In case
of injury, where the player is unable to continue, the ref will
be so advised and is required to note incident on game card.
22. All games
must be played in equal halves, except when extended by the ref
because of injury, etc, or shortened by the ref due to insufficient
number of players to continue or misconduct, rules violations, altercations
or unsporting behavior by either the players, coaches or sidelines.
23. Players
may protect their chests (girls) / groin (boys) with their arms
in a wall during a direct or indirect kick by the opposing team.
24. Coaches
and teams on one side of the field. All parents on the other side.
Maximum of four (4) coaches, or trainers per team permitted on the
sideline. All must be currently carded.
25. 8 V 8 Division
5 U 8, U 9 & U 10
a) Number of
players - normally, the maximum number of players on the field at
any one time shall be eight, one of which shall be the goal keeper.
b) BOYS - Suggestions
for play in small sided matches where goal differential exceeds
4:
After a small
sided team has achieved a goal differential of 4, the referee will
permit the following:
*a team that
is down by 4 goals be permitted to add a 9th player on the field.
The other team will play with 8 players (9 v 8).
*if the team
that is down by 4 goals is unable to put in a 9th player, the other
team will take a player off the field and play with 7 players (8
v 7).
*keep the additional
player on anytime the goal differential is 4 or more.
REMINDER: COACHES
ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PARENTS ON THE SIDELINES. COACHES MAY
BE PENALIZED / CARDED FOR NOT CONTROLLING THEIR SIDELINES.
